Dr. Smith joined Brookfield in 2024 as our principal. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of education and has held positions as a principal, vice principal, and business manager for private and public schools throughout California. He has an active role in the leadership of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is committed to creating a culture of continual improvement at our school. His strategy to build on Brookfield's extraordinary history includes:
1. Strengthen student culture and student success rates in matriculation, academic achievement, and belonging.
2. Make Brookfield an excellent place to work through faculty support and development.
3. Lead the school to fulfill our ongoing commitment to academic excellence.
Dr. Smith enjoys sports and outdoor activities. He played and coached football for over twenty years, winning CIF section titles in both basketball and football as a head coach and athletic director. Moreover, he enjoys camping in the great outdoors during his downtime.
