Meet Dr. Schwartz

Stacey Hunter Schwartz, Ph.D.

Dr. Stacey Hunter Schwartz joined Brookfield in 2024 as a Third Grade Teacher after more than two decades of experience teaching and leading educational programs for students aged 3 to 80. At Brookfield, she previously taught sixth grade English/Language Arts, third grade Social Studies, and fifth grade English/Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math. Additionally, she has held positions ranging from dean, associate dean, counselor and professor at Coastline College. Dr. Schwartz also led nonprofit organizations and educational programs in Kansas, Arkansas, and California. Regardless of context, she approaches students in a similar fashion, i.e., by working to build an authentic relationship with each of her students and to engage them by helping them connect what they are learning in class to their own real life needs and goals.

Dr. Schwartz lives in Sacramento with her husband. They have two grown daughters. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and serving on boards of directors, including for BEST, a nonprofit she co-founded to bring apps and training to people with traumatic brain injuries.
