Gloria Moreno joined Brookfield in the Fall of 2021 as a Social Studies Specialist. Born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, Mrs. Moreno moved to Sacramento to complete her education where she studied social movements and race relations in America. She has experience teaching History and English at the middle school, high school, and college levels.
As a first-generation college student, she quickly learned that education is at the root of growing as a student, worker, and more importantly, as a person. Mrs. Moreno believes that learning is a never-ending gift. With this mindset, she teaches intersectional and multicultural history in a way that strengthens an important life skill, empathy. She is dedicated to creating a fun, welcoming environment that also challenges her students intellectually.
When sports fanatic Mrs. Moreno is not teaching, she enjoys watching sports, playing softball and golf, and making silly memories with her husband, friends and family. She also has one fur baby, Foxy (named after De'Aaron Fox).
