Over 200 students entered the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) 2015 National French Essay Contest, and we were very pleased to learn that two of our middle school students won 1st and 2nd Place in this prestigious national contest! Well done, students!

First Place:  Olivia Ang-Olson, pictured left.

Second Place:  Adithi Benush , pictured right.

Both received a monetary award, poster, and certificate, and Olivia received the 1st Place Medal.

Congratulations team! Our students in grades 5-8 learn Speech and Debate skills as part of our English program, and have the option to join the competitive Debate or IE Speech Team, where they hone their skills against competitors representing middle schools throughout Sacramento.

Congratulations to Team 273, the "Five Lucky Legos," who won the Judge's Award and placed second overall in the regional FIRST regional competition this month! The team is very excited to be invited to compete in the District Championship and is wasting no time preparing to represent Brookfield School against other top-performing teams. Good luck, kids!

Our young team won 3rd Place in the challenging Math Counts Competition! The top Math students representing elementary and middle schools from throughout the greater Sacramento region came out to compete. Way to go!

Three local teams joined our team for a pre-tournament scrimmage on campus Nov. 1st. It was fun to watch each team's robot navigate the challenge, and listen to each team practice their presentation. It was a great opportunity to listen to feedback and refine all aspects of the competition prior to the tournament later this month. Thank you to team Coach Dung Le for organizing this event!
